Why

The city and The VFW Post 9934 present a beautiful Dana Point Memorial Day Service in Pines Park honoring the sacrifices made by US veterans to earn our freedom. This ceremony provides time for us to recognize veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terrorism and pay our respects to everyone who gave us the opportunity to enjoy our privileges today.

A special part of this Memorial Day Service is the “Boots and Rifle” ceremony. It is 90 minutes out of the holiday weekend consisting of a bugle call and TAPS played by David Longoria. The officers of Post 9934 conduct this service that will bring home how fortunate we are to be Americans.
