A unique speedboat burst into flames recently in the Dana Point Harbor. According to witnesses, the boat caught fire 3 separate times over a two-day period.
UPDATE: DanaPointer spoke with a company official from the Leo Group who stated that the boat performed well on the water for several days of trials, but that on Wednesday while on the water it showed signs of trouble. It was removed from the water, and apparently by morning it caught fire.

It appears to be the test vessel with high-powered electric motors announced in a June 18 press release from a Taiwanese company (LGM Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Leo Motors Inc.) that manufactures electric engines. The press release claims LGM, Co.:
signed the memorandum of understanding to provide high power electric engines amounting to around $2.2 million to Ruckmarine LLC. in the San Diego Boat Show.
